Originating in Greek Mythology, Gaia is the personification of our planet, one of the primordial goddesses and ancestral mother of all life.
Born at the dawn of creation, legend says Gaia and her union with Ouranos (the sky) created the heavenly gods, her union with Pontos (the sea) created the gods of the water and her union with Tartaros created the giants. Us mortals were borne directly from her earthly flesh.
To honour Mother Earth, this naturally rich scent blends top notes full of succulent fruits, berries and currants, before tree ripened orange heart notes accent the cool, moist, mossy base undertones of soil, fallen leaves and sagebush. Luscious, earthy, verdant and sweet, a perfect homage to our eternal mother.
This candle is made with a wooden wick, which quietly crackles adding to the experience.
